Temporary LecturerClemson University: College of Education: Education and Human DevelopmentLocation: Tillman HallOpen Date: May 12, 2026DescriptionThe College of Education at Clemson University seeks 9-month visiting lecturer of literacy with an emphasis in early literacy or elementary literacy. This position is for a 9-month, visiting position with an anticipated start date of August 2026. Consistent with the university's land grant mission, the College of Education at Clemson is dedicated to promoting the growth, education, and development of all individuals, and to engaging in high quality, applied research, and professional learning. The College of Education is especially focused on serving underperforming schools as well as members of underrepresented, diverse, and marginalized populations. The successful candidate will join a collaborative and engaged faculty committed to fulfilling this mission through research, teaching, and service in higher educational and P-12 settings. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Responsibilities include: Teaching up to five undergraduate and possibly graduate courses per semester in PK-12 literacy with an emphasis on early and/or elementary literacy Teaching in face-to-face, online, and hybrid formatsQualificationsRequired Qualifications: Earned master's in literacy with early and/or elementary emphasis or related field (education, early childhood, elementary education, or other relevant disciplines) U.S. teaching experience with early or elementary aged students or related experience Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching in higher education Earned doctoral degree in Literacy with early and/or elementary emphasis or related field (Education, Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or other relevant disciplines) Experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in early and/or elementary education foundations and methods in various modalities Experience teaching at least three years in early and/or elementary students in U.S. schools Experience in advising graduate studentsApplication InstructionsTo Apply Applications must be submitted via Interfolio (https://apply.interfolio.com/186627).
