Job SummaryThe Plumbing Account Manager is responsible for developing new business and maintaining client relationships focused on plumbing systems and services. This role requires technical knowledge combined with strong sales and customer service skills to promote McKenney’s plumbing solutions.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform all functions needed to maintain a customer account, including sales, correspondence, customer relations, project supervision, scheduling, drawing review, and estimationIdentify and qualify prospective clients in commercial, healthcare, data center, and higher education marketsPresent plumbing products and service solutions emphasizing efficiency and innovationPrepare proposals, quotes, and contracts tailored to client needsMaintain CRM records and provide accurate sales forecastsCollaborate to develop customized solutionsPost-sale follow-up to ensure satisfaction and identify new opportunitiesBasic QualificationsEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED3 years of sales experience in plumbing or mechanical contracting5 years of commercial plumbing experienceProficiency with CRM and sales softwareTechnical understanding of commercial plumbing systems and related productsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsMust have basic PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of Word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mailKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesExcellent negotiation and presentation skillsAbility to build and maintain client relationshipsAbility to understand technical details and translate them into business valueProfessional and polished image that inspires confidence and trustExceptional work ethic; upholds company values and demands the highest standard of conduct from self and othersHighly adaptable and able to respond quickly to changing customer demandsPreferred RequirementsExperience in consultative or B2B salesKnowledge of energy-efficient plumbing technologiesMed-Gas KnowledgeState Plumbing LicenseWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTSPrimarily office-based with travel to client sites, meetings, and eventsOccasional lifting of promotional materials or equipmentMoving Safety Forward, our initiative for continuous improvements in our safety culture, reminds us that we are on a journey toward a zero-incident culture.
