Compensation:$130k - $170k Base Salary + Bonus (Up to 10%)
Location:West Orange County, California - Onsite
Hours:Monday to Friday - flexible hours

The Client:
Lumicity has partnered with an exciting and expanding company operating within the clean energy and power generation space on their search for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team. Our client is focused on the development of advanced industrial energy solutions to produce energy. The ideal candidate for this position will hold strong experience surrounding certifications and compliance of power conversion systems, inverters and industrial electrical equipment.

The Responsibilities:
Lead electrical compliance and certification from concept through to validation
Review, support and make amendments to electrical system designs and schematics to ensure that compliance is passed.
Identify relevant global electrical safety standards early in the design phase to ensure that all systems meet electrical safety requirements (protection, fault handling, safe operation etc)
Evaluate key safety considerations such as insulation, grounding, creepage and clearance distances, and implement design improvements where required.
Develop technical documentation including risk assessments and compliance reports
Support EMC/EMI design and testing activities, including development of mitigation strategies and coordination of compliance testing.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance requirements are met
The Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
Relevant experience surrounding Electrical Design and Compliance within clean energy, power generation or a similar industry
Strong understanding of electrical certifications and compliance standards (UL, IEC, CSA, EN etc)
Proven experience certifying power electronics and electrical systems
Strong skillset and experience within electrical design with the ability to review and assess designs for compliance and safety
Familiarity with EMC/EMI compliance and testing (advantageous)
Experience with conversion equipment, power systems or energy related technologies (advantageous)
