HR Operations Supervisor
We are seeking a highly skilled HR Operations Supervisor to lead and optimize our core human resources functions, including payroll, benefits administration, compensation strategy, compliance, and HRIS management. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, competitive and equitable compensation practices, and a seamless employee experience through effective benefits programs. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of employment laws and regulatory compliance, along with hands-on experience managing and improving HR systems and data integrity. As a key member of the HR team, you will drive operational excellence, identify process improvements, and partner cross-functionally to support organizational goals while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality, accuracy, and service.JOB SUMMARYThe Supervisor, HR Operations is responsible for overseeing the administration and delivery of payroll, benefits, compensation, and HR information systems (HRIS) for the organization. This role ensures the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of HR operational processes that support employees and leaders across the organization. The position supervises HR operational staff and works closely with HR leadership, Finance, and Technology Services to ensure systems, programs, and processes operate effectively and align with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. The role also leads process improvements, system enhancements, and data governance related to employee information, compensation programs, payroll administration, and benefits delivery. Consistent and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND CORE COMPETENCIESSupervises staff responsible for payroll, benefits administration, compensation support, and HRIS operations.Ensures operational processes are documented, standardized, and continuously improved.Provides operational leadership and subject matter expertise across payroll, benefits, compensation administration, and HR systems.Serves as escalation point for complex payroll and benefit issues.Supports open enrollment processes and benefits communications.Supports the creation and administration of the organization’s compensation programs including salary structures, job classifications, and pay practices.Coordinates system upgrades, integrations, and process improvements with Technology Services and system vendors.Ensures HR operational processes comply with applicable employment laws, reporting requirements, and internal policies.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIESKnowledge of payroll administration and wage and hour regulationsKnowledge of benefits administration and applicable compliance requirementsUnderstanding of compensation structures and job classification systemsExperience administering HR information systems and HR data managementStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple operational processes with accuracy and attention to detailAbility to communicate effectively with employees, leaders, and external vendorsAbility to lead process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives Accountability - Holds self and others responsible for goals, outcomes, deadlines, and objectives and follows through on commitments.
