In this role, you will help residents regain and strengthen their communication and swallowing abilities, improving their independence and overall quality of life.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate residents and develop individualized speech, language, and swallowing therapy programsProvide therapy sessions and adjust treatment plans based on resident progress and needsAssess and recommend adaptive communication devices when appropriateCollaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive care plansSupervise therapy assistants and provide guidance or training as neededParticipate in resident care conferences and maintain accurate documentation of progress and outcomesQualificationsMaster's Degree in Speech-Language PathologyCurrent Florida Speech Language Pathologist license (or eligibility for licensure)ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or eligibleStrong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsPassion for delivering compassionate, resident-centered careWhy Join Heartland?At Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, we are committed to providing exceptional care while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment for our team members.Join us and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.IND123
