The TCS New York City Marathon, United Airlines NYC Half and the RBC Brooklyn Half are just a few of the 40+ adult events and 30+ Rising New York Road Runners youth events produced by the team each year. The team leads core elements of the operations including physical site management, timing and scoring operations, volunteer management, hospitality and special events, safety and security, management of our warehouse and all race collateral, city and state agency relationship management, and permitting.About The PositionThe Inventory Control Specialist (ICS) is a people leadership role encompassing data management, auditing, preparation, deployment and communicating within the organization of stock levels, availability, allocation, and deployment of supplies, equipment, and marketing materials. You will be physically and intellectually involved in replenishing, stocking, and allocating stock to the appropriate areas as directed.Primary ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibilities (primary and secondary duties):Receiving – supplies, equipment, and consumable items entering warehouseEquipment & Stock Preparation (Quality Assurance) – Lead by Director, Inventory Control on tasks related to repairing, quarantine damaged items, preparation of signageReporting – primary stakeholder in internal & external communication regarding receipt of Marketing, signage, and event supply materials. People Support – Support warehouse staff and inventory control coordinator related to inventory replenishment. Secondary Responsibilities – Support Director, Inventory Control in auditing and warehouse operationsAuditing, Sorting, & Replenishing – Guided by Director, Inventory Control on daily inventory management on tasks & projects assignedDelegate appropriate tasks to direct reports and ensure effective completionCommunicate frequently with Warehouse Management & internal stakeholders on topics pertaining to current stock levels and availability of assets. Allocation – adherence to process regarding receiving, donations, sponsor product, consumption, expiration, etc. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Inventory Control. This may include assembling and repairing equipment. ExperienceJob Requirements:2-3 years in inventory management, warehouse management, stock management, or related field required1-2 years’ experience working in a warehouse setting preferred Education & CertificationsCollege degree in related field preferred not requiredSkills And AttributesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail Communicate in a professional manner with Internal and external stakeholders Familiarity with Data Analytics, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and/or Warehouse Management (WMS) usage preferred Applied use of tools such as RFID scanners, PDA, smartphones for daily business activities and communicationPhysical RequirementsWilling to use heavy material equipment such as a forklift, pallet jack, and 1 person lift (previous experience using equipment preferred but not required)Willing to load and offload a truck using a liftgateMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassistedMust be able to walk, bend, squat, twist, and lift without assistanceMust be able to work in all season conditions (weather gear is provided), indoor and outdoorSalary: $65,000/yearNYRR requires all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
