Data Sales Lead - HCLS and Life Sciences

Role OverviewWe’re seeking a seasoned Data Sales Lead to drive growth across Healthcare and Life Sciences (HCLS) segments, including Providers, Payers, Pharma, Biotech, MedTech. You will originate and close new business, expand existing accounts, and shape data & AI solutions leveraging platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Success is measured by pipeline creation, deal velocity, and revenue attainment, with an annual new business target of $5–10M.Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue & PipelineOwn an annual sales quota of $5–10M in net‑new and expansion revenue across HCLS accounts.Build, qualify, and convert 3–4× coverage pipeline through outbound motions, partner co‑selling, executive networking, events, and account‑based strategies.Market DevelopmentIdentify and prioritize Healthcare (Providers, Payers) and Life Sciences (Pharma, Biotech, MedTech) segments where data & AI can accelerate:Healthcare: population health analytics, claims optimization, care coordination, patient engagement, interoperability (FHIR), predictive analytics for readmissions.Life Sciences: trial operations, safety signal detection, regulatory submissions, manufacturing yield/OEE, commercial analytics, patient support programs.Account ExpansionLand‑and‑expand within existing accounts by introducing modern data platforms, ML/GenAI accelerators, data products, and governance capabilities.Solutioning & PartnershipsCollaborate with solution architects and delivery leaders to translate client needs into reference architectures, implementation plans, and risk‑managed SOWs.Drive partner motions with Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud—plan joint campaigns, pursue Marketplace opportunities, secure MDF, and host CXO roundtables.Thought LeadershipPotentially represent the Mastek brand at industry conferences (e.g., HIMSS, HLTH, DIA, SCOPE, BioIT World), publish case studies, and deliver webinars focused on measurable outcomes.Required Qualifications7–12 years of sales experience in data, analytics, cloud, or AI solutions, with 5+ years focused on Healthcare & Life Sciences.Proven track record of meeting/exceeding annual quotas of $3–10M+ in services/software.Strong domain fluency across:Healthcare: EHR/EMR integration, population health, payer analytics, claims optimization, interoperability (FHIR), HIPAA compliance.Life Sciences: R&D, Clinical, Safety/Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Commercial, Medical Affairs.Technical selling proficiency with:Cloud & Data: Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.AI/ML & GenAI: MLOps/LLMOps, RAG, governance/security.Data Management & Governance: ingestion, modeling, quality, lineage/metadata, security/compliance frameworks.Excellent executive communication; comfortable with C‑level discovery, business case development, and value‑based negotiation.Willingness to travel 30–50%.Preferred QualificationsExperience selling into mid‑sized pharma/biotech and provider/payer segments; familiarity with HIPAA, GxP, Part 11, GDPR, and FHIR/CDISC standards.Prior success in partner‑led selling with Snowflake/Databricks/AWS/Azure/Google.Background in consulting/services sales with account‑based selling and land‑and‑expand motions.Success MetricsRevenue: $5–10M new/expansion revenue per annum.Pipeline: ≥ 3× quota qualified pipeline.Partner Influence: ≥ 30–50% of revenue influenced/co‑sold with strategic partners.Account Expansion: ≥ 20–30% YoY growth in target accounts.
