Clinical Responsibilities:Provider Support: Assist physicians during patient exams, biopsies, surgical excisions, Mohs procedures, and cosmetic/laser treatments.Procedure Preparation: Prepare patients for surgical and aesthetic procedures, including administering local anesthesia.Medical Scribing: Accurately document patient encounters in real time to ensure complete and precise EMR records.Patient Education: Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and pre- and post-procedure care.Diagnostics: Capture before-and-after photos for cosmetic documentation and perform blood draws (phlebotomy experience preferred).Laboratory Coordination: Manage specimen collection and ensure timely processing and communication with pathology labs.Administrative & Patient Coordination:Patient Triage: Handle incoming calls and serve as the primary point of contact for patient questions and concerns.Scheduling: Organize patient appointments and cosmetic procedures in alignment with provider preferences.Product Knowledge: Maintain strong knowledge of skincare products and cosmetic services (e.g., Botox, dermal fillers) to support patient education.Pharmacy Coordination: Communicate with pharmacies regarding prescription refills and prior authorizations.Required Qualifications:High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.Proficiency with EMR systems (experience with EMA/Modernizing Medicine is a plus) and general computer/iPad skills.
