Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) ManagerCandler, North Carolina | Manufacturing EnvironmentA growing manufacturing organization is seeking a hands-on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and strengthen safety, environmental, and compliance initiatives at its North Carolina facility.This is a highly visible role for someone who thrives on the manufacturing floor, enjoys building strong safety cultures, and can partner effectively with operations and leadership teams to drive continuous improvement.Why JoinCompetitive compensation based on experience and qualifications $90K to $115KEmployer-sponsored health benefitsPaid vacation and holidaysMonday - Friday schedule with no weekend workHealth and wellness programsCollaborative, respectful work environment with strong autonomyCompany-sponsored events and team-focused cultureOpportunity to influence and shape safety systems during operational growth and expansionWhat You’ll Be DoingLead all environmental, health, and safety programs for a busy manufacturing facilityMaintain a strong on-site presence across plant operations, including future evening shift expansionDevelop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, and training programsEnsure compliance with OSHA, NC OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirementsConduct hazard assessments, incident investigations, audits, and corrective actionsManage OSHA recordkeeping, injury reporting, workers’ compensation claims, and return-to-work processesOversee environmental compliance efforts including hazardous materials handling, waste management, air quality, and chemical safetyMaintain SDS/MSDS systems and required environmental documentationPartner with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to improve plant-wide safety performanceServe as a visible and proactive safety leader on the manufacturing floorDevelop and lead site safety teams and initiativesSupport site security and emergency preparedness planning, including severe weather responseParticipate in onboarding and ensure all employee training programs align with safety and environmental requirementsCollaborate with EHS leaders across multiple manufacturing locations to standardize policies and best practicesWhat We’re Looking ForRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Ergonomics, or related field — or equivalent combination of education and experience4+ years of EHS experience within manufacturing, industrial, construction, or related environmentsStrong knowledge of OSHA compliance and safety program managementExcellent communication and leadership skills across all organizational levelsSelf-directed and proactive problem solver who works well with minimal oversightProficiency with Microsoft Office SuitePreferred QualificationsExperience within industrial or metal manufacturing environmentsFamiliarity with cranes, forklifts, welding operations, working at heights, mechanical presses, and paint operationsKnowledge of environmental permitting and chemical regulatory requirementsExperience managing OSHA recordkeeping, hearing conservation programs, workers’ compensation, and return-to-work processesUnderstanding of Root Cause Analysis, Hierarchy of Controls, corrective actions, and quality documentationCSP or SMS certificationFirst Aid/CPR/AED certificationISO 14001, ISO 45001, or ISO 9001 auditing experience or certificationThis is an excellent opportunity for an EHS professional who wants to make a meaningful impact in a growing manufacturing operation while helping build a best-in-class safety culture.
