Safety Specialist

Job Title: Safety SpecialistLocation: Asheville, NCDuration: 9 months Start Date: June 2026Rate: $47-$53/hour 1.5X OT Hours: 40-50 hours per weekSeeking experienced Safety Specialist to provide safety support for utility scale solar projects.Responsibilities: Oversee and supervise the construction of assigned portfolio from design through commissioning, focusing on schedule, quality, and scope of work requirements.Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to assigned site management personnel.Coordinate with and direct subcontractor field personnel.Ensure client, utility, and AHJ standards are maintained throughout construction.Assist construction team as needed with remediation and resolution of identified non-conformances.Assist with material receipt, handling, and inventory duties.Assist QAQC department in performing Inspections on an as-needed basis.Intimate knowledge of the solar installation and civil construction processes.Coordinate in advance with the QC/Commissioning teams to schedule inspections and commissioning activities.Interpret and explain contracts and technical information to subcontractor and field staff.Liaison with client field representatives, inspectors, and other jurisdictional authorities.Participate in meetings and provide input during the design and engineering phase.Assist with project mobilization and demobilization activities.Handle special assignments and other duties as leadership requests.Minimum Requirements: 5 years of experienceSafety certs (CHST, ASP, CSP, preferred)OSHA 500, 510 (preferred)First Aid/CPR/AED/BBP training (current)FootBridge is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive environment where everyone is valued and respected.
