Job Title: Power Bi + Tableau developerLocation: Mentor, OH (Onsite)Job Type: ContractJob Description:Roles and Responsibilities:Dashboard Development: Design and build high-performance dashboards in both Power BI and Tableau Desktop.Data Modeling: Construct scalable data models, define KPIs, and build semantic layers.Calculations & Logic: Write complex DAX functions, Power Query M code, and advanced Tableau calculated fields.Data Integration: Connect BI tools to diverse data sources like Snowflake, SQL Server, and cloud data warehouses.Performance Optimization: Fine-tune workbook structures, data extracts, and SQL queries to minimize load times.BI Administration: Manage security permissions, row-level security (RLS), scheduling refreshes, and publishing on Tableau Server or Power BI Service.Stakeholder Collaboration: Gather technical requirements from business users and deliver clear data storytelling.Required Technical Skills:BI Platforms: Advanced proficiency in Tableau (Desktop, Server, Online) and Power BI (Desktop, Service).Database Language: Strong SQL scripting skills for creating complex joins, views, and stored procedures.Data Environments: Experience working with cloud platforms like Snowflake or Azure Synapse.ETL & Data Warehousing: Solid understanding of ETL processes, data cleaning, and relational database schemas.Qualifications & Soft Skills:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.Problem-Solving: Strong logical reasoning to identify data anomalies and resolve reporting bottlenecks.
