Security Engineer

Crypto Security Engineer | Product Security | Remote (Europe)Global Fintech Talent is partnering with a fast-growing international fintech business looking for a Security Engineer to become the first dedicated owner of product security within a critical customer-facing platform. Please note hands on experience in the Crypto/Digital Asset sector is a hard requirement for this role. We're looking for someone who has spent their career getting hands-on with application security, threat detection, incident response, and secure software development. Someone who can investigate suspicious activity, identify attack patterns, work directly with engineers to remediate vulnerabilities, and build security processes from the ground up.You'll thrive here if you have experience with:✅ Application Security and secure software development✅ Threat modelling (STRIDE, attack trees, misuse cases)✅ OWASP Top 10, CWE and business logic vulnerabilities✅ Security testing using tools such as Burp Suite, ZAP, SAST/DAST✅ Backend technologies such as Python, Go, Java, Node.js or PHP✅ AWS environments, container security and modern cloud architectures✅ Incident response, attack reproduction and root cause analysis✅ Working closely with Engineering, Product and DevOps teamsThis role requires a genuine ownership mindset. You'll be the person people turn to when incidents occur, security gaps emerge, or abuse patterns need investigating.
