Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) specializing in gastroenterology to join our newly opening care center location in Parrish, Florida. The APRN will collaborate closely with gastroenterologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with gastrointestinal disorders. This role involves performing assessments, diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, and educating patients and their families on disease management and prevention strategies.Our Culture: Inspire hope. As we continue to grow and expand our reach to communities in need, we are excited to open a new care center in Parrish, Florida, and are seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our team and support our mission of delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.Essential Duties:Provide care to gastroenterology patients by developing diagnoses, establishing patient care objectives, noting changing conditions and needs, providing treatments and services involving disorders and conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, and collaborating with physicians.Develop patient care plans by reviewing patients' medical histories, documenting physical and psychological conditions, and influencing social factors, conferring with family and friends, developing a diagnosis, and defining interventions, schedules, and timetables.Provide patient education on disease processes, treatment options, medication administration, and preventative measures.Assist in performing endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies and endoscopies with gastroenterologists.Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records (EMR) system.Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including nurses, physicians, physician assistants, and dieticians to ensure holistic patient care.Maintain safe, secure, and healthy patient care environments by following infection control procedures, medication administration, storage protocols, and controlled substance regulations while adhering to professional, legal, and organizational policies.Improve job knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.Hospital Rounding: Participate in hospital rounds one full weekend per month.Other duties as assigned.Please note that the duties and responsibilities outlined in this job description are not exhaustive and may be subject to change at any time to meet the evolving needs of the company. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display terminal. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and climb stairs. The employee should be able to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
