Job Title: Electrical Design EngineerJob DescriptionWe are hiring an Electrical Design Engineer to work at an advanced semiconductor technology facility in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. You will play a pivotal role in designing state-of-the-art electrical systems for our new fabrication facilities. This is a historic project, with 7+ years of construction planned for this specific location. You will have the ability to participate and contribute to this notable project, while being offered room for growth and advancement within your career.Responsibilities+ Participate in the design of new fab electrical systems, including High Voltage, Low Voltage, and Facility Monitoring Control Systems (FMCS).+ Provide design engineering and calculations for Mission Critical infrastructure within Fab Operations, including generators, switchgears, grounding, lightning protection, arc flash coordination, and power distribution.+ Evaluate and implement innovative technologies to overcome challenges from new manufacturing processes and promote sustainability. Communicate, coordinate, and solve problems across departments effectively.+ Create Fab infrastructure by designing and supporting basic electrical power needs.+ Ensure compliance with local codes and regulations when designing new fabs.Essential Skills+ Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering+ Specialization in Uninterruptible Power Systems or Facility Monitoring Control Systems.+ 2+ years of experience in electrical design for the semiconductor industry or a related field.+ Experience in electrical design with relevant High Voltage, Low Voltage, and FMCS systems.+ Experience with large Industrial Power Systems (will not consider Commercial or Residential).+ Strong cross-departmental communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.+ Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD software.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Electrical Professional Engineer (PE) qualification is preferred.+ Experience designing new fabs in compliance with local codes and regulations.Work EnvironmentLocated in Phoenix, AZ, this position requires on-site work from Monday to Friday.
