A cutting-edge space company developing next-generation high-mobility spacecraft platforms is looking for a Spacecraft Mission Systems Engineer to help lead spacecraft development from concept through flight.This is a highly technical systems role focused on real spacecraft delivery, not just documentation. You’ll own spacecraft-level execution across architecture, subsystem integration, verification, testing, and mission readiness, working closely with propulsion, avionics, structures, software, GNC, and mission operations teams.The environment is fast-paced, engineering-led, and heavily focused on execution. Ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex spacecraft problems while driving multidisciplinary teams through critical milestones.What you’ll be doing:• Leading spacecraft system architecture, requirements, interfaces, and integration• Driving technical execution across design, build, test, and flight readiness• Supporting trade studies across propulsion, power, payload integration, and mission design• Leading major reviews including SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and FRR• Acting as a technical interface with customers and mission stakeholders• Supporting spacecraft integration, environmental testing, and launch campaigns• Raising engineering standards and mentoring across the teamWhat they’re looking for:• 3-12 years of spacecraft systems engineering experience• Strong spacecraft subsystem knowledge across propulsion, avionics, structures, and GNC interfaces• Experience owning spacecraft-level requirements and integration• Previous experience leading technical execution through PDR or beyond• Comfortable operating in a build-and-fly environment with high accountability• Excellent communication and leadership capabilityStrong preference for:• Prior Lead Systems Engineer experience• National security or DoD space mission exposure• High-delta-V propulsion mission experience• Hands-on integration and test experience• Experience with Jama, DOORS, JIRA, Confluence, Python, MATLAB, Creo, or SolidWorksThis is an opportunity to join a mission-focused team building spacecraft designed to push the limits of orbital mobility and maneuverability.If you’d be interested in hearing more, apply or reach out directly for a confidential discussion.
