Your responsibilitiesJob SummaryIn this role, you will ensure Copper & Brass Sales products and processes meet all applicable quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will for implement effective quality assurance processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality, reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.You will also serve as the primary point of contact for all quality-related activities within assigned branch locations, partnering with operations teams to maintain consistent quality standards and drive performance improvements.Job DescriptionDevelop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure our products/processes are complaint with Quality Standards, Customer Requirements, Relevant Industry Standards, Regulations, and Certifications.Lead investigations for internal and external quality issues using tools such as 5-Why, Fishbone diagrams, and 8D, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actionsCollaborate with Operations team to design quality control processes around new equipment installations, including inspection criteria, and capability studiesLead and support cross-functional teams to improve processes and reduce defect ratesPerform risk assessment (FMEA), process validation, and statistical process control (SPC)Lead and support internal and external audits including monitoring and auditing supplier qualityInterface with suppliers to ensure incoming product quality and resolve quality issuesProvide training to the production team on quality tools and quality management system proceduresProvide real-time quality support to production team, ensuring timely resolution of quality issues that impact throughput, scrap, or reworkManage non-conforming product inventory and its timely dispositionConduct inspections and tests on raw materials and finished productsMaintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions and prepare and present quality reports to management and stakeholders.Utilize metrology tools and techniques to measure and analyze product dimensions and tolerancesMentor junior staff in quality practices.The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirement for the performance of this job.
