Job DescriptionResidential Drafter - Custom HomesWe are seeking an experienced Residential Drafter to join our team and support the design and construction of high-quality custom homes. This role is ideal for someone who understands that every line on paper represents real-world construction and takes pride in producing accurate, detailed construction documents.The ideal candidate will have strong technical drafting skills, a solid understanding of residential construction methods, and the ability to translate design concepts into clear, buildable plans.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed residential construction drawings using AutoCADDevelop complete construction document sets for custom homes, including:Floor plansElevationsSections and detailsElectrical and lighting layoutsInterior and exterior detailsInterpret architectural concepts and convert them into accurate, buildable plansEnsure all drawings reflect real-world construction practices and material applicationsRevise plans based on redlines, engineering feedback, and field conditionsCoordinate with project managers, designers, and consultants to maintain drawing accuracyAssist with plan updates throughout the construction processQualificationsMinimum 5 years of residential drafting experience (custom home experience strongly preferred)Strong proficiency in AutoCAD requiredSolid understanding of residential construction methods and terminologyAbility to read and interpret architectural and structural plansStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlinesClear communication and collaboration skillsWhat We're Looking ForSomeone who understands that every line on paper has a purpose and impacts construction in the fieldDetail-driven and quality-focused mindsetStrong problem-solving abilityA team player who takes pride in producing clean, accurate construction documentsApply to: megan.cantone@gogpac.com
