Instructional Partner (Possible)

Reports To: Principal/Director of Curriculum and InstructionSalary: Based on salary schedule for 187 days.FLSA Status: ExemptJob Goal: To provide support leading to improved instructional practice and instructional technology integration, thus increasing student achievement.Evaluation: The performance of this job will be evaluated per provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of personnel.Qualifications:Minimum of Bachelor's degree (Master's or higher preferred) from an accredited educational institution.Valid Alabama Teacher's Certificate endorsed in the relevant subject area.Minimum of three years successful teaching experience.Must complete a criminal background check through the Alabama State Department of Education at your own expense.Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate and acceptable.Duties and Responsibilities:Act as a growth agent in the school to build a collaborative culture of learning among adults and studentsSupport and guide teachers through regular classroom visitsFacilitating professional conversations and collaboration concerning research-based instructional best practices and student achievement among teachers and leadersWorking closely with classroom teachers and school leaders to plan, organize, and model research-based best practices and instructional technology to improve the overall instructional programAssist teachers and leaders in analyzing and disaggregating classroom, local and state assessment data to inform instruction and make necessary adjustments to improve student learningPlanning, facilitating, leading, and participating in building level embedded professional development while encouraging team building, peer partnering/coaching, and a positive school cultureDeveloping and leading K-12 district professional development for Tuscumbia City SchoolsPromoting, developing, and initiating vertical and horizontal teaming to enhance instruction and student learning.Participating in coaching cycles with teachers to increase the use of instructional best practicesProviding differentiated assistance to teachers and leaders based on individual instructional needs as identified through multiple data sources (informal classroom observation, student achievement, formative assessment, etc.)Assisting in the implementation of the components of the Continuous Improvement Plan that are directly related to instruction and/or technologyModel during co-teaching, coaching cycles, leading professional development, etc. the appropriate use of instructional best practices and technology to enhance and extend instruction and student learningCommunicating and collaborating with school and system administrators to determine curriculum needed to enhance classroom instructionWillingness to participate in professional development opportunities to increase competencies in partnership, data to inform instruction, coaching cycles, curriculum, instructional technology, etc., to effectively fulfill dutiesPerforms such other duties as may be assigned.The above statement reflects the general details considered necessary to describe the principle functions of the job identified, and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be inherent to the job.
