This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and legacy systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance across our platforms.If you are passionate about problem-solving, system optimization, and delivering high-quality code in an evolving technical environment, this position is designed for you.Key ObjectivesDevelop, maintain, and enhance RPG-based applications to support business operations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and deliver effective solutions.Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability through proactive troubleshooting and optimization.ResponsibilitiesDesign, code, test, and debug RPG programs in accordance with business requirements.Maintain and update existing RPG applications, ensuring compatibility with current systems.Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand functional specifications.Identify and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.Document code changes and maintain clear technical documentation.Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Support integration efforts with other systems and platforms.Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to RPG programming and IBM i environments.RequirementsProven experience as an RPG Programmer or similar role.Strong knowledge of RPG IV (ILE RPG) and familiarity with RPG III is a plus.Experience working on IBM i (AS/400) systems.Understanding of database concepts, particularly DB2.Ability to write efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.If you are interested, please apply or feel free to share your updated resume at anas.khan@programmers.ai
