Below is the detailed job description.Job Title: Java Developer AI-Assisted Spec Driven DevelopmentLocation: New York, NY / Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid)Duration: Long-Term ContractJob DescriptionSeeking experienced Java Developers with strong software engineering fundamentals and hands-on experience in Spec Driven Development using modern AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Windsurf.The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality enterprise applications while leveraging AI-assisted development workflows to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and ensure adherence to technical specifications.Required Skills Java development experienceStrong experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, and MicroservicesExperience with RESTful API development and integrationHands-on experience with Spec Driven Development methodologiesExperience using AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Windsurf, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar platformsStrong understanding of software design patterns and best practicesExperience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development environmentsExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsPreferred SkillsExperience in financial services or banking domainExposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)Experience with automated testing frameworks and DevOps practicesResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain enterprise Java applicationsTranslate detailed specifications into scalable and maintainable solutionsUtilize AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code qualityCollaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and development teamsParticipate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activitiesEnsure applications meet performance, security, and scalability requirements
