Regional Safety Manager
As a Regional Field Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel on-site at several job sites in a geographical area. Your primary responsibility will be to implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. You will conduct regular safety audits, provide training sessions, and work closely with the project teams to foster a culture of safety. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, as you will be the point of contact for all safety-related issues and will need to effectively address any concerns that arise.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures
Conduct regular safety audits
Provide training sessions on safety practices
Work closely with project teams to foster a culture of safety
Act as the point of contact for all safety-related issues
Effectively address any safety concerns that arise
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to effectively address safety concerns
Experience in conducting regular safety audits
Proficiency in providing training sessions on safety practices
Capability to implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures
Competence in working closely with project teams to foster a culture of safety
Acting as the point of contact for all safety-related issues
Flexibility to adapt to diverse environments and changing conditions
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, ASP, CHST, or equivalent)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably in a field-based setting
Experience with OSHA regulations and safety compliance
Proven track record of developing and implementing safety programs
Experience in accident investigation and reporting
Travel Requirements
Flexibility for regular travel and to travel on short notice for urgent business needs, to attend meetings, trainings, and events.
Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance during business trips.
Compliance with company travel policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
Ability to use a computer, phone, printer, scanner, and other office equipment.
Visual acuity for detailed work and computer use
Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 25 pounds of files, documents, and materials.
