Sitework Assistant Project Manager
Company: Northeast Precast Job Type: Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sitework Assistant Manager to support daily field operations and assist in managing multiple crews on active construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications. Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in overseeing all sitework operations, including scheduling, coordination, and executionManage and supervise multiple field crews to ensure productivity and quality standards are metInterpret project plans, specifications, and grading detailsCoordinate earthwork activities such as excavation, grading, and site preparationOversee installation of drainage systems, sewer, water, and underground pipingWork with GPS machine control systems and ensure accuracy in layout and gradingPerform quantity takeoffs and assist with estimating materials and production ratesUtilize CAD software to review plans, assist with layouts, and support field operationsUse computers and construction software for reporting, tracking progress, and communicationMonitor job progress and proactively address issues or delaysEnsure compliance with safety regulations and company policiesCommunicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and crew membersMake real-time field decisions to keep projects on schedule and within budgetQualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in sitework or heavy civil constructionStrong knowledge of:Earthwork and gradingDrainage systemsSewer and water installationUnderground pipingExperience with GPS machine control and layout systemsExperience with CAD software (AutoCAD or similar)Ability to perform quantity takeoffs and assist with estimatingStrong computer skills (Excel, project tracking software, etc.)Proven ability to manage multiple crews and prioritize tasksStrong leadership and decision-making skillsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsExcellent communication and organizational skillsValid driver’s license required Preferred QualificationsExperience with project scheduling softwareOSHA certification (or willingness to obtain)Experience working on large-scale commercial or civil projectsCompensation & Benefits - $30.00 - $40.00 Hourly Based on ExperienceCompetitive salary based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysOpportunities for advancement
