LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a driven behavioral health nonprofit, that is seeking a Controller to lead the day-to-day accounting operations and support strategic financial oversight. This role will partner closely with the CFO and oversee a small team while ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in nonprofit accounting, hands-on leadership experience, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, service-oriented environment.Key Responsibilities:Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance with GAAP and nonprofit regulations Manage financial data and reporting within NetSuite ERP systemPrepare and review monthly financial statements, including variance analysis and supporting schedules Deliver accurate and timely reporting packages to the CFO and senior leadershipSupervise, mentor, and develop a team of 3 accounting professionals Create a collaborative and accountable team environment focused on continuous improvementCoordinate annual audit and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors Ensure compliance with nonprofit reporting requirements, including grant tracking and fund accounting Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA highly preferred 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with nonprofit experience strongly preferred Prior experience in a supervisory or management role Hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems Strong understanding of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles Experience with financial reporting, audit coordination, and internal controls Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skillsCompensation:$120,000-$140,000Benefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, visionPTO is offered on an accrual basisPaid Sick Leave where applicable by State lawIf you are interested in this position or any other Accounting and Finance career opportunities, please apply and contact Kellie Sclafani at kellie.sclafani@lhh.com.Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please visit https://www.lhh.com/us/en/privacy-policy
