Launch Manager

Overview In this role you drive the successful launch and integration of new programs in a manufacturing setting. You partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Safety to implement design changes on time and within cost targets. You oversee program launches, cost-reduction efforts, and change management activities across the plant, ensuring traceable execution and cross-functional alignment. You will work on continuous improvement initiatives that impact manufacturing efficiency and warranties, with a focus on practical, field-ready outcomes. ResponsibilitiesLead new program launches based on the PLUS framework and BOS milestonesSupport safety, engineering, operations during change implementation in manufacturingCoordinate and track VA/VE activities with cross-functional representationDevelop make vs. buy evaluations and present viable proposalsManage material cost-reduction activities and ensure alignment with profit plansReview and communicate deviations, change requests, and notices using PLM Team CenterPrepare reports and tracking files to monitor projects, changes, and updatesCoordinate seat/part shipments, including packaging training and shipment readinessAttend SDT meetings to review proposed changes for JIT, foam, and trimMaintain warranty issue feedback loops and update EO implementation timelinesEnsure proper recording of VINs, EO dates, and cost recovery through IC3 processProvide training and instructions for proper boxing, palletizing, and shipping of seats Key requirementsB.S. Degree in Engineering or related fieldThree to five years automotive experienceProject management experience in manufacturing change management (preferred)Ability to read blueprints and safety/procedure documentsStrong written and verbal communicationComputer literacy and experience with relevant softwareAbility to create visual communication aidsSupervisory responsibilities of hourly and cross-functional teamsLanguage: read and interpret technical documents; write routine reportscross-functional collaborationeffective communicationleadership and supervisionPLUS BOS documentationeLPA & 5S auditsVA/VE processes
