Accessible and welcoming to all, our librarycelebrates the joy of reading, fosters learning and growth, connects people toeach other and the world, and inspires individuals with what they can achieve.Through our 20 locations, online, and through targeted outreach, we deliverexceptional library services and programs with a mission to create a communityof readers and empower individuals with free access to information and theuniverse of ideas.Schedule: Full Time 40 hours per week, Benefit EligibleM- F 8:00am - 5:00pmWorks occasional weekends and evenings as needed to completespecial projects.Location: Library Administration Center; 510 Stitt Rd,Charlotte, NC 28213Position Summary:The Library Facilities Tech is responsible for performingthe activities related to maintenance, repairs, and improvements to Libraryfacilities and equipment.Essential Functions:Perform general maintenance tasks related to the operationof Library facilities.Install, maintain, and repair Library equipment such asappliances, book drops, book trucks, signage, and shelving.Manage and maintain parts and equipment inventories.Schedule repairs with vendors and provide oversight.Coordinate and perform the moving and storing of materialsand furnishings involved in renovations and relocations.Estimate time, materials, and costs for repair work.Engage with online maintenance ticket software daily;prioritize and perform tasks as assigned and close tickets in a timely fashion.Communicate with Library staff and management regardingmaintenance needs and problems.Make recommendations for routine renovation and buildingmaintenance projects.Engage in safe working practices and comply with safetyprograms and guidelines; report and monitor unsafe working conditions.Minimum QualificationsExperience:Minimum of two years of relevant experience.Education:High School Diploma or equivalentLicenses and Certifications:Requires a valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver'sLicense.Requires County Driving Privileges.Must be able to obtain and maintain a County OperatorsPermitEducation/ExperienceCombination of relevant education and relevant experience accepted?
