Director of Information Technology

CMK Resources is working with a partner in the manufacturing industry to identify a Director of Information Technology to lead their next phase of digital and systems transformation. This role will serve as a key member of the leadership team, partnering closely with executive stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Operations.The Director of IT will own the overall technology strategy, with a strong focus on business applications, web platforms, and digital enablement for sales teams and partner networks. This position also maintains responsibility for core infrastructure, requiring a balanced background across both modern platforms and foundational IT operations.This is a succession role with a planned transition period to support knowledge transfer.Key ResponsibilitiesDigital and Web Platform LeadershipLead strategy and execution for web-based business applications, including portals, distributor systems, and customer-facing toolsOversee design, development, integration, and optimization of digital platformsEnsure systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with business goalsSales and Partner EnablementPartner with Sales and Marketing to improve field productivity and partner engagementSupport CRM, ERP, and e-commerce integrations for end-to-end visibilityEnhance reporting, data accuracy, and self-service capabilitiesBusiness Applications and IntegrationOwn lifecycle and strategy for enterprise applications including ERP, CRM, and SaaS platformsLead system integrations to ensure seamless data flow across internal and external systemsEvaluate and implement new technologies aligned with business objectivesGovernance, Security, and Risk ManagementEnsure security, integrity, and availability of systems and dataEstablish IT policies, standards, and governance frameworksOversee access controls, compliance, and business continuity planningLeadership and Financial OversightLead and develop a distributed IT teamDefine technology roadmap and performance metrics tied to business outcomesManage IT budget and ensure alignment between cost and innovationProvide executive-level updates on initiatives, risks, and ROIQualificationsEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience8+ years of progressive IT leadership experienceBackground supporting sales organizations, partner networks, or customer-facing platformsTechnical CompetenciesStrong understanding of web technologies, SaaS platforms, and cloud-based systemsExperience with ERP and CRM platforms and system integrationsExposure to ERP modernization or migration initiatives is a plusExperience with data, reporting, and analyticsAbility to translate business needs into scalable technical solutionsAwareness of trends in digital commerce, field sales, and partner ecosystemsLeadership and CommunicationProven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence executive stakeholdersStrong communication skills, able to simplify complex technical conceptsCollaborative leadership style with strong interpersonal skillsExperience building and executing technology roadmaps
