Senior Java / Spring Boot Developer – MuleSoftEmployment Type: W2 Only – No C2CDomain: Healthcare / Claims ModernizationHealthcare Experience: RequiredRole OverviewWe are looking for a strong, hands-on Senior Java/Spring Boot Developer with healthcare industry experience to join an onshore Scrum team supporting a large-scale Claims Modernization initiative.The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices, along with prior experience working within the healthcare domain. Experience with healthcare claims, payer systems, claims adjudication, or claims modernization is highly desirable.This is a W2-only opportunity. No C2C/Corp-to-Corp candidates will be considered.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, enhance, test, and support Java/Spring Boot applications and microservices.Build and consume scalable and secure RESTful APIs supporting healthcare and claims-related applications.Translate business requirements, user stories, and technical designs into maintainable production-quality code.Collaborate with MuleSoft/integration teams to implement APIs, integrations, queues, and data-exchange patterns.Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, estimation, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.Troubleshoot application, API, integration, and production issues.Perform code reviews and promote engineering and secure-coding best practices.Mentor developers and contribute to technical design and architecture discussions.Demonstrate the ability to grow into a technical lead role and coordinate development activities across distributed teams.Must-Have Skills6+ years of application development experience.Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.Strong experience developing REST APIs and microservices.Healthcare industry/domain experience is required.Understanding of healthcare applications, workflows, and enterprise healthcare systems.Strong knowledge of OOP, design patterns, API design, exception handling, logging, and secure coding.Experience with SQL and relational databases.Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, build/deployment processes, and modern engineering practices.Strong Agile/Scrum delivery experience.Strong communication skills and technical lead potential, including mentoring, code reviews, design reviews, and technical guidance.Preferred SkillsHealthcare Claims experience, including exposure to claims processing, claims adjudication, payer platforms, or claims modernization.Hands-on MuleSoft experience with API-led connectivity, Mule flows, DataWeave, connectors, API Manager, and integration troubleshooting.Cloud-native development experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, PCF/Tanzu, or similar platforms.Event-driven/messaging experience with Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ, or equivalent technologies.SkillPriorityJava & Spring BootMust HaveREST APIs / MicroservicesMust HaveHealthcare Domain ExperienceMust HaveLead PotentialMust HaveAgile/ScrumMust HaveMuleSoftPreferredHealthcare Claims / Payer ExperienceHighly PreferredQualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience may be considered.Important: This role is W2 ONLY.
