Job Title: Dev/Research Engineer 1 Location: Mossville IL (Onsite) Duration: 12 Months Shift: First shift Position s Contributions to Work Group: The Company's Precision Seals Test & Validation team within Company s Integrated Components Division (ICD) is currently seeking a Test & Validation Engineer to work on metal face seals used on Company machines. The candidate will be a member of the team responsible for Company world-wide validation of metal face seals. As a Test & Validation Engineer in this team, you will serve as an individual contributor on projects and assignments that support and enhance Company product performance, durability, reliability, quality, and serviceability. Opportunity to build up test and do data analysis, and conduct troubleshooting - Opportunity for the research and development side and exposure to validate new technologies or new processes Typical task breakdown: Job Duties & Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Operate and maintain multiple seal validation test benches -Author and update safe job & lock out tag out procedures for seal test equipment -Manage internal/external validation test requests and support quality/material/design improvement projects -Perform/Apply root cause analysis on field returns -Support NPI (New Product Introduction) and CPI (Current Product Improvement) projects -Collaborate with system engineering teams, internal and external, to identify/validate optimum sealing system solutions -Create and deliver technical reports -Research and develop new sealing technologies - Interaction with team: Working closely with test validation engineers, design engineers, account customers within Company; working with other teams - Team Structure: 4 test validation engineers Work environment: Office environment: half of their time is in LAB settingPPE required, safety toe shoes, prescription safety glasses, ear protection Education & Experience Required: Years of experience: 0 -2 years - Degree requirement: BS Mechanical Engineer, Aerospace, Agricultural; 2nd preferred metallurgical, advanced physics - Do you accept internships as job experience: Yes Are there past or additional job titles or roles that would provide comparable background to this role: Test Validation Engineer Top 3 Skills Strong mechanical and analytical aptitude Strong problem-solving skills Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members, system engineering teams, and suppliers Additional Technical Skills (Required) Proficiency in Creo or related CAD software (Desired) Previous test/validation experience Experience with data analysis software Experience with instrumentation/controller software Working experience with metallic and non-metallic materials or components Soft Skills (Required) - N/A
