This role covers a broad range of activities including, but not limited to, transaction processing, new accounts, loan processing, and customer service. Responsible for following all policies and procedures, while providing a professional, courteous and efficient customer service to our members. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Obtain a thorough working knowledge of all Credit Union products. Provide coverage on teller line, member services, lending and receptionist desk Interact with members to explain, promote and offer products as appropriate Greet and respond to member inquiries, requests, or problems. Handle complaints as necessary Assist members with stop payments, photo copies of share drafts, payroll deduction, Debit and credit cards, online banking, bill pay, RDC, telephone teller, cross member transfers, IRAs, Share Certificates, travel notice and address changes Complete Gpod, morning branch totals, processing mail and night drop Any other duties as assigned by supervisor/management Community involvement is a requirement of this position as outlined in the ServU Employee Handbook Comply with all safety and security policies, practices and procedures. Report any unsafe or suspicious activities to your supervisor Complies with all federal, state, and organizational policies, procedures, and processes, including (but not limited to) the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). Performs related responsibilities as required Transactions: Process transactions: deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing, loan payments, money orders, official checks, cash advances, wires, check orders, merchandise Assist with cleanliness of work and office areas and maintenance of machinery Member Services: Open new memberships, share draft, share certificates, IRA’s, debit card, and other services as requested Process member check orders, US Savings bond redemptions, and Foreign Item for deposit Obtain a thorough knowledge of requirements for special accounts: Custodial, Rep Payee, Court Ordered, Burial, Deceased, Trust, Power of Attorney, Organization and Business Accounts Lending: Interview and gather member information for loan requests, pull credit reports, process approved or denied loans, disburse loan proceeds Complete loan check-backs QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: Strong social skills and professional appearance Team player with department and other branch staff Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent grammar and communication skills Organization skills with attention to detail Strong computer skills Timeliness and attendance are essential Sitting or standing for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 25lbs This job will require training to be completed at other ServU locations, as the Penn Yan office is not yet operational. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors determined by law.
