Software Test Engineer/Senior Software Test Engineer

*PLEASE NOTE: Previous MEDICAL DEVICE EXPERIENCE IS *_*REQUIRED*_ *for this position* This position can be hired as a Software Test Engineer or a Senior Software Test Engineer depending on level of experience. The Software Test Engineer will support the testing and verification of medical device software. This role will work closely with software, systems, and other engineering team members to execute test protocols, document results, identify and communicate software issues, and help ensure our products meet defined requirements and quality standards. We are looking for someone who is technically curious, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable learning how complex medical device systems work. *Responsibilities:* * Execute software test protocols and document results * Test software functionality against product requirements * Identify, document, and communicate software issues * Reproduce issues and provide clear test evidence to the engineering team * Support regression testing following software updates * Assist with writing and maintaining test cases and test protocols * Maintain accurate testing and verification documentation * Work closely with software, systems, and other engineering team members * Support additional product testing and verification activities as needed * Other duties as assigned. *Qualifications:* * Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field with ideally 3+ years of software test experience * *At least one year of software test/V&V experience in the medical device industry* * Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills * Strong written communication and documentation skills * Comfortable following detailed procedures and working with technical requirements * Ability to learn new software and medical device technologies quickly * Familiarity with medical device development or FDA-regulated environments * Experience with Jira or other issue-tracking tools NOTE: This is a FULLY ONSITE position based in Carlsbad, CA. Local candidates strongly preferred.
