Position Details
Job Title: Cable Assembler
Location: Orlando, FL
Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
Duration: 12-Month Consultant Assignment
Schedule: 4/10 Work Schedule (Monday-Thursday)
Shift: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM EST
Your Impact
As a Cable Assembler, you will be instrumental in the assembly of intricate cable harnesses and electronic systems essential for modern aerospace programs. By maintaining a sharp focus on quality, you ensure that these mission-critical components meet stringent industry standards and perform reliably in the field. This role offers a unique chance to engage with innovative technologies while refining your technical expertise in a high-precision manufacturing setting.
What You'll Do
Construct cable harnesses and assemblies by following wiring diagrams and utilizing form boards
Execute essential tasks including soldering, crimping, connector installation, and precise cable routing
Ensure secure connections by plugging contacts into connectors and torquing backshells to meet exact specifications
Help maintain a high standard of product integrity by assembling components to IPC Class 3 requirements
Analyze engineering drawings, schematics, and written instructions to guide assembly processes
Carry out production assembly duties for various electronic and mechanical subassemblies
Operate a variety of hand tools, power equipment, jigs, and specialized manufacturing hardware
Help ensure consistent product reliability by conducting continuity checks throughout the build process
Verify that finished assemblies meet all customer and quality specifications through thorough inspection
Assist in the testing, troubleshooting, and necessary rework of assemblies to ensure optimal performance
Engage in the assembly of experimental and prototype projects
Support the team by contributing to ongoing manufacturing process improvements
Required Qualifications
Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Demonstrated experience in soldering, crimping, and installing connectors for cable harnesses
Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail
Ability to safely and effectively operate power and hand tools
Strong capacity for teamwork and clear communication
Ability to adhere to established manufacturing procedures and detailed instructions
Preferred Qualifications
One to three years of experience in an assembly or manufacturing role
Possession of a current WHMA-A-620 certification with Class 3 workmanship experience
Active J-STD-001 Certification
Background in building cable harnesses specifically for defense, aviation, aerospace, or electronics sectors
Dedication to process excellence and continuous quality improvement
Ability to excel both as an independent contributor and a collaborative team member

Pay Details: $21.00 per hour
