Insurance Defence Litigation Partner

We are seeking a seasoned Insurance Defense Litigator with 6–10+ years of experience to join the a boutique law firm in a senior, highly autonomous role based in its Uniondale office, no book of business is required. This is 5 days per week, on-site in the office with a base compensation of $150K–$200k, depending on experience plus performance bonuses.Signing bonus and relocation assistance are on the table for the right person.This is an opportunity for an experienced litigator who wants real ownership, meaningful trial exposure, and the ability to operate as the lead attorney in a growing satellite office. The ideal candidate is someone who can step in immediately, manage a full caseload independently, mentor junior attorneys, and help drive the continued expansion of the Long Island presence.This role is particularly attractive for:Senior associates seeking a faster path to leadershipSmall firm or solo practitioners looking for institutional support and a consistent workflowTrial-ready litigators frustrated by limited courtroom exposure at larger firmsWhat You’ll Be DoingIndependently manage a full litigation caseload across an array of litigation and insurance matters across people, construction, motor vehicles, premises and general liability defence.You'll handle all phases of litigation from inception through trial from written discovery and pleadings through to court appearances and mediations.Serve as the senior attorney leading the Uniondale office day-to-day mentoring and supervising junior attorneys whilst levergaing support personnel.You'll appear regularly in courts throughout Nassau County, Suffolk County and NYC boroughs as well as surrounding jurisdictionsWhat We’re Looking For6–10+ years of insurance defense litigation experienceStrong experience handling matters independently from pleadings through trialDeep familiarity with New York state litigation procedures and court systemsExperience in labor law and construction litigation strongly preferredProven ability to manage client relationships and operate autonomouslyTrial experience or meaningful trial preparation experience requiredAdmission to the New York Bar in good standingFor more information please email me directly at thomas@pinnaclecareercoach.com
