Pharmacy Technician TraineeJob DescriptionThe Pharmacy Technician Trainee role involves assisting in the preparation and distribution of drug products. The technician will be responsible for preparing prescription medications using the fulfillment system.Responsibilities+ Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejects and conducting member and physician outreach.+ Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system.+ Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and/or escalated member issues.+ Escalate questions regarding prescriptions to a Pharmacist for interpretation or provide direction on processing.+ Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls.+ Ensure prescriptions that are processed through the facility are properly inspected & filled to company standards.Essential Skills+ High School diploma.+ 0-3 years of Pharmacy Technician experience.+ Current Pharmacy Technician License as required by the state of Virginia.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Certified or licensed Pharmacy Technician.+ Newly certified Pharmacy Technician Trainees are to be considered.Work EnvironmentWork is conducted onsite in Mechanicsville, VA. The schedule is Wednesday to Saturday from 5am to 3pm or Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri from 3:30pm - 1:30am. This contract to hire opportunity provides a great chance for newly certified technicians to gain experience in the pharmaceutical field, offering a quality of life advantage compared to retail environments. No certifications or licenses should be expiring in the next 90 days.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Mechanicsville, VA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
