Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
Travel to work sites to perform installation, repair or maintenance work
Work directly with clients and office staff
Observe and test system operation, using gauges and instruments
Dismantle malfunctioning systems and test components using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic testing equipment
Test mechanical systems to ensure proper functioning
Install wiring to connect components to an electric power source; connect electrical components or equipment
Perform building controls installation, start-up, and commissioning
Braze or solder metal parts or components to repair defective joints and leaks
Estimate and install materials and supplies needed to maintain equipment in good working condition
Generate suggestions for improving work and develop innovative approaches and ideas
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of installing equipment or components
Observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions
Requirements:
Clean Driving Record
Reliable, friendly, honest, and motivated
Strong time management and planning skills; able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Must be coachable, willing to learn new things, quickly adapt to change, and be flexible
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Journeyman HVAC/R Technician with LEB License
CFC/EPA Certification
Brazing Certification
