A role as a Government Banking Relationship Executive is for you.As a Government Banking Relationship Executive within our Specialized Industry Banking team, you will lead a team of Bankers in their business development efforts to grow and retain profitable banking relationships with government clients. A typical team includes direct management of 7 to 10 Bankers. The government industry handles commercial banking client relationships across the country. The team focuses on cities, counties, school districts and other government entities. As the Relationship Executive, you will work with dedicated product specialists from Treasury & Securities Services, Public Finance, Securities Trading, Asset Management and Leasing to provide the firm's extensive services and products to our clients and prospects.Job Responsibilities:Champion a culture of innovation and a customer centric mindsetStay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnershipsDeliver the entire firm across lines of businessFind ways to further efficiency with existing technical infrastructure through automation while embracing the innovative opportunities offered by new technologiesLead specially assigned projects for the benefit of region and national teamHire, manage, coach, mentor and retain a high performing and diverse teamFoster a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environmentRequired Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:Typically a minimum of ten years account relationship management experience with a focus on business relationshipsUnderstanding of Commercial Banking products and services with knowledge of the regionAbility to mobilize internal networks and resourcesDemonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals; proven top individual contributorSales management and business development skills with proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationshipsStrong technology experience; digital backgroundExcellent verbal and written communications skills; able to effectively communicate clearly and conciselyStrong knowledge of regulatory and control frameworkProven leadership, management, and client relationship skills, as well as extensive industry and product knowledge, and strong transaction execution skillsExcellent organizational skills and the ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:Bachelor's degree and formal credit trainingManagement experience in a Commercial Bank setting, specifically leading a commercial lending sales teamSelf-directed, proactive, and creative solution and problem solving abilities: use sound judgment and navigates ambiguity to get things doneFlexible to changing business priorities and ability to multitask
