Network Systems Analyst

Job Title: Sr. Network Systems AnalystLocation: Nevada City, CA - 95959 (Fully Onsite)Duration: FulltimeNote: Future hybrid schedule: 1–2 remote days per week, after 3-6 months of satisfactory serviceRole Overview:We are seeking a Senior Network Systems Analyst to serve as a technical expert supporting complex, enterprise-level network and server environments. This role involves administering large-scale LAN/WAN systems, ensuring system security and performance, and providing advanced technical support.The ideal candidate will operate independently or as a team lead, handle high-impact projects, and act as an escalation point for technical issues while mentoring junior staff.Required Skills & Expertise:Technical Skills:• Strong experience with Windows Server, Linux, and enterprise network environments • Deep knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture and OSI model (Layer 2 & 3 switching) • Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, FTP, etc.) • Experience with network security (firewalls, ACLs, VPNs, IPS) • Hands-on experience with server, storage (SAN), and VoIP systems • Expertise in network troubleshooting and diagnostics tools • On call rotation required.Education & Experience• Associate degree or equivalent coursework in Computer Science or related field • Minimum 2+ years of advanced/journey-level experience in network systems administration • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered Certifications (Preferred)• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) • Cisco Certified Network Engineer (CCNE) • Security or Project Management certifications
