Overview In this role you will contribute as a Java/J2EE developer with IBM WebSphere Message Broker expertise, supporting application maintenance and production support in insurance and financial services. You will work within a cross-functional team to translate requirements, review designs, and perform root-cause analysis in a global delivery context. The position offers interaction with multiple stakeholders and occasional travel, emphasizing reliability and client satisfaction. ResponsibilitiesProvide application maintenance and production support for Java/J2EE applicationsDevelop and utilize Web services and IBM WMB (WebSphere Message Broker) solutionsTranslate functional and non-functional requirements into system requirementsParticipate in design and architecture reviews and conduct root cause analysisCollaborate with diverse stakeholders in a global delivery environmentCommunicate effectively via phone, email, or in person; travel as required Key requirementsAt least 4 years in application maintenance and production supportAt least 4 years of experience with Web services and WebSphere Message Broker (WMB) and Java/J2EE tech stack (Struts, Spring, XML)Experience in SDLC including maintenance and production supportExperience translating requirements to system requirementsAt least 3 years in design and architecture review and root cause analysisAbility to work in a diverse, multi-stakeholder teamInsurance and Financial services domain experienceStrong analytical skills and preference for global delivery environmentAbility to communicate effectively; willingness to travel as neededBachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent; may consider 3 years progressive experience in lieu of degreeTeamwork in diverse environmentsStrong communicationAnalytical thinkingJava/J2EEWebSphere Message Broker (WMB) or WebMethodsWeb services
