Join one of the country's leading Forensic Toxicology Labs, where we approach forensics from every angle!Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10AM - 6:30PMDepartment: ExtractionsThis role is responsible for performing a variety of processes in the wet chemistry departments of the laboratory. Your primary responsibilities will be Aliquoting specimens for confirmatory testing and Extracting (utilizing Protein Precipitation, Liquid-Liquid, Solid Phase, and Supported Liquid extraction principles using validated methods for each confirmatory assay).This position earns an hourly wage. In addition to that, we have full medical, dental, and vision insurance as well as competitive 401k (up to 4% match) and PTO programs (15+ days/year).An Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D.Position SummaryPerforms tasks that result in the accurate and timely determination of drugs and chemicals in specimens.Duties & Responsibilities Quantitatively aliquots blood and urine specimens for testing Quantitatively aliquots controls and standards for use during testing Understands the principles of and competently performs liquid-liquid, solid-phase, and protein precipitation extractions on specimens Performs proper disposal of specimens Performs data entry of casework Participates in improvement of analytical methodologies Follows established standard operating procedures, laboratory and chemical safety procedures, and documentation procedures. Completes assignments based on priorities and deadlines Identifies problems that may adversely affect test performance and internal/external clients and takes appropriate action Continually looks for ways to improve and promote quality Other duties or tasks assigned by designated personnelSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job has no supervisor responsibilities.Skill Requirements Knowledge of basic chemistry principles, concepts, and methodology. Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) Database software, and all Microsoft Office Suite products.
