Maintenance Technician - Facilities & EquipmentJob LocationsUS-CA-Huntington BeachID2026-18846OverviewThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility systems and specialized testing infrastructure. This role supports safe, reliable operation of building systems and test environments through preventative maintenance, corrective actions, and coordination with vendors and property management as needed.Salary: $25- $30/hr DOEResponsibilitiesFacility & Equipment MaintenancePerform routine and corrective maintenance on building systems including: HVAC systemsElectrical systems (certification preferred)Plumbing systemsDeionized (DI) water systemsCompressed Dry Air (CDA) systemsCooling towers and chilled water loopsLiquid nitrogen supply systemsPerform hands-on repairs and minor installations; assist with larger repair efforts as directedSupport maintenance needs for specialized testing environmentsFollow preventative maintenance schedules and document completed workIdentify equipment issues early and recommend corrective actionsVendor & Contractor CoordinationAssist in coordinating vendor and contractor access for repairs, inspections, and service workMonitor on-site vendor activities to ensure work is completed safely and to required standardsCommunicate issues or deficiencies to facilities or management leadsSafety & CompliancePerform all work in compliance with company safety policies and proceduresReport safety issues, near misses, and facility hazards promptlyCoordinate with the Site Safety Leader to address and close out facility-related safety actionsMaintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areasSkills / QualificationsRequired / Preferred SkillsElectrical systems knowledge (certification preferred)Mechanical and building maintenance experienceHVAC systems knowledgePlumbing systems experienceStrong troubleshooting and repair skillsSafety-conscious mindsetForklift operation experience (or ability to obtain certification)Time management and reliabilityAbility to follow preventative maintenance programs (TPM experience a plus)Basic understanding of facility layouts and infrastructure systemsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical & Work RequirementsAbility to lift, climb, bend, and stand for extended periodsComfortable working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and lab environmentsOn-call or flexible hours may be required for urgent maintenance needsCompany OverviewElement is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
