This position requires innovation and creativity in solving issues.Duties and ResponsibilitiesEvaluates patients with physical disabilities, disease and deformity for appropriate footwear solutions.Consults with medical providers and therapists to understand the best footwear options for the patient.Measure patient's feet to ensure the correct footwear is ordered.Work with shoe manufacturer to order best footwear option.Takes appropriate measurements.Performs fitting and delivery of shoes to patients.Knowledge and SkillsAbility to obtain a shoe fitter certification.Knowledge and ability to assist in evaluation of foot needs in a diverse population.Strong interpersonal skills within diverse populations.Knowledge of disabilities and diseases related to pedorthist.Ability to work collaboratively and participate in a team approach.
