Dental Assistant

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY - THIS POSITION IS FOR PART-TIME, 2 DAYS PER WEEK TO START.Boutique dental office in the Chelsea Neighborhood is looking for a part-time (with potential for full-time) dental assistant.The position is open to candidates who are available at least two days per week, Monday to Thursday with office hours ranging from 9:30am - 7:30pm depending on the day. Only serious candidates will be considered.Please attach a resume with available working hours as well as a brief summary about yourself and expectations from this job position.Compensation is commensurate to experience.ResponsibilitiesWelcome patients after front desk check-in.Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfortDental X-RaysSelect and set up instruments, equipment and material neededSterilize instruments according to regulationsAssist the dentist through 4-handed dentistryUndertake lab tasks as instructedKeep the dental room clean and well-stockedSkillsProven experience as dental assistantKnowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methodsUnderstanding of health & safety regulationsGood computer skillsExcellent communication and people skillsAttention to detailWell-organized and reliableHigh school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferredAdditional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)Job Type: Part-timeExperience:Dental Assistants: 1 year (Required)Work Location: In person
