The Ideal CandidateThe Product Development & Sourcing Coordinator supports the Product Development and Sourcing functions by managing the flow of information between internal teams, factories, and customers. This role ensures the accurate and timely coordination of samples, purchase orders, vendor payments, production schedules, system documentation, and compliance requirements to support the on-time delivery of quality product.The Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining organized, efficient processes across product development, order placement, commercialization, factory communications, and regulatory compliance.How You Will Make An ImpactProduct Development SupportCoordinate the flow of development samples and related materialsManage communication and information exchange with factories and internal teamsMaintain customer records and procedures related to samples and product developmentAssist in expediting samples and tracking development milestonesProvide administrative and coordination support to the Sr. Director of SourcingCommercialization SupportAssist the development team with commercialization efforts to ensure smooth transition from development to productionSupport preparation and distribution of commercialization comments and documentation to internal teams and factoriesCoordinate timelines and follow-ups to ensure readiness for on time productionTrack and maintain records related to commercialization milestones and approvalsPurchase Order & Order Placement ManagementCoordinate the order placement process from buy meeting through factory placementMaintain accurate Production Schedules and system documentation to track placement, modifications, and receipt of goodsMaintain Standard Cost Files for all Genesco Brands Group BrandsSystems & Data ManagementUpdate seasonal Interim Footwear Invoice (IFI) filesAssist Design and Development teams with Product Information Management (PIM) systemsVendor & Factory CoordinationServe as liaison between Merchandising, factories, and internal teams to ensure production needs are metMaintain factory production schedules and monitor timelinesReview weekly production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of components (e.g., leather, outsoles)Manage vendor payment processes for manufactured goods, samples, and materialsCompliance & DocumentationManage annual factory compliance requirements, including coordination and documentation of social and physical auditsOversee factory participation and compliance with CTPAT, RSL, and other applicable regulatory and brand requirementsExperience And Skills You'll Need To Have1-3 Years of relevant experienceStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and detailed processes simultaneouslyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, email)High attention to detail and process accuracyAbility to follow and maintain detailed operational processes
