This senior individual contributor role is responsible for leading the technical direction of our DevOps team, including mentoring engineers and day-to-day execution, and partnering with domain product teams (Clinical Experience, Member Experience, and Care Delivery) to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure systems. You'll own complex infrastructure initiatives from design through implementation while establishing best practices that elevate the entire engineering organization.Tech Stack Languages: TypeScript, Python, BashBackend: Node, ExpressFrontend: ReactInfrastructure: Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, Kubernetes, DockerDatabase: MySQL, PostgreSQLCI/CD: GitHub ActionsMonitoring & Observability: Sentry, Datadog, Grafana, OpenTelemetryTooling & Integrations: GitHub, Okta, Mixpanel, Omni, third-party APIsKey Responsibilities Technical LeadershipDefine and drive the technical vision for DevOps practices across the organizationLead architecture decisions for infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud resourcesServe as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure challengesConduct design reviews and provide guidance on reliability, security, and scalabilityInfrastructure & OperationsDesign, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using TerraformOwn and improve CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, safe deploymentsImplement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability systemsDrive incident response processes and lead post-mortems to improve system resilienceCross-Team CollaborationPartner with product engineering teams to understand their infrastructure needs and translate them into scalable solutionsWork closely with Security to implement and maintain compliance and security best practicesCollaborate with Product and Engineering leadership on capacity planning and technical roadmapsMentorship & CultureMentor and coach DevOps engineers, fostering growth and technical developmentEstablish and document DevOps standards, runbooks, and best practicesChampion a culture of reliability, automation, and continuous improvementReporting & Work Arrangement This role reports to the Senior Director of Engineering.
