Shop & Office Assistant (Towing-Automotive industry)

Overview We are seeking a dependable, highly organized Shop & Office Assistant to manage and oversee the daily administrative operations of our towing facility. This is a one-person role working directly with company owners and drivers in a fast-paced environment that includes a tow truck operation, vehicle garage, and impound lot. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, confident handling a variety of tasks, and comfortable interacting with customers in sensitive situations. Key Responsibilities Answer and manage incoming phone calls, including overflow calls and service requests Assist with dispatching calls to drivers Coordinate the release of impounded vehicles and communicate professionally with individuals whose vehicles have been towed Maintain truck and shop maintenance logs Sort and respond to routine emails Prepare invoices as directed Manage and track reimbursements from insurance companies Order office supplies and truck/vehicle parts Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications & Experience Experience in automotive, transportation, or trucking industries preferred Ability to interact professionally and calmly with customers, including those in stressful situations Strong numerical skills and attention to detail Proficiency with computers and internet-based systems; ability to learn new applications quickly Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, including Excel and Word Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy Pay: From $21.00 per hour Benefits: Paid time off People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person
