REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reports directly to the Project Management team on assigned projects. The position requires frame-to-finish carpentry skills with experience with a wide range of construction materials. This position requires attention to detail to accurately and efficiently construct both residential and commercial projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Operates various hand, power tools, and equipment safely and efficiently to complete duties including: Circular saw, table saw, miter saw, reciprocating saw, bandsaw, router, drills, pneumatic nail gun (roofing, framing, and finish work), and other tools needed for cutting, fastening, drilling, and measuring.
Layout, framing, and installation of walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials.
Installing siding, weather barrier, flashings, and exterior trim.
Fit and install window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim.
Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings.
Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace
Inspect ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged elements.
Move necessary materials around the job site as assigned.
Keep a clean, safe, and organized worksite.
Mobilize/demobilize materials and equipment from job sites.
Assist project management team with necessary project tasks.
Assisting with materials and inventory management as required.
Occasional drywall hang, finish, tape, mud, and sand.
Occasional paint and paint preparation.
Occasional insulation installation.
Assemble scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels.
Review drawings, sketches, or specifications to prepare project layouts and determine the dimensions and materials required to execute work in the field.
Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.

POSITION/TYPE OF WORK:
This is a full-time position. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 pm. This position occasionally requires long hours and some weekend work.
TRAVEL:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, with occasional out of state and overnight travel. Less than 30% of time travel expected.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
2-5 years of carpentry experience (commercial or residential)
OSHA 10-Hour training preferred
First aid and CPR course experience preferred
