Artificial Intelligence Engineer
Job Title: Senior AI Engineer / AI Lead EngineerLocation : Atlanta,GA (Hybrid-2 days a week) Type :FulltimeRole OverviewWe are looking for a Senior / Lead Software Engineer – AI Agents to design, build, andproductionize enterprise-grade AI agents and chatbots on Google Cloud Platform. The rolerequires strong hands-on engineering capability, practical experience with LLM applications,and the ability to take solutions from rapid proof of concept to scalable production deployment.The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with Python, ADK, Vertex AI, BigQuery,APIs, databases, and modern agent frameworks, while also bringing strong softwareengineering discipline around security, scalability, observability, reliability, and cost optimization.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of AI agents, enterprise copilots, and conversationalassistants using Google Cloud Platform and modern agentic frameworks.Build intelligent agents with tool integration, including APIs, databases, enterprise applications,workflow systems, and external services.Develop agent workflows involving multi-step reasoning, orchestration, memory/contexthandling, task execution, and response generation.Use ADK, Agent Studio, AI Studio, Vertex AI, or equivalent tools to rapidly prototype usecases and demonstrate business value.Convert prototypes into production-ready services using Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions,APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.Integrate AI agents with Vertex AI, BigQuery, enterprise data platforms, IAM, monitoringtools, and secure service layers.Implement guardrails, prompt controls, access restrictions, logging, auditability, andhuman-in-the-loop controls where required.Optimize agent performance across latency, cost, accuracy, reliability, and scalability.Create reusable engineering patterns, templates, and frameworks to reduce the cycle time fromPOC to production.Collaborate with product owners, architects, data engineers, cloud teams, and businessstakeholders to translate business problems into agent-based solutions.Required Skills and Experience5-8+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend development fundamentals.Hands-on experience building AI / LLM applications, chatbots, copilots, or agenticworkflows.Strong programming experience in Python, along with one additional backend language suchas Java, Go, Node.js, or similar.Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform, preferably including Vertex AI, BigQuery,Cloud Run, GKE, IAM, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Monitoring.Experience with ADK or similar agent frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, SemanticKernel, CrewAI, AutoGen, or equivalent.Strong understanding of API design, distributed systems, microservices, SQL, andcloud-native application development.Preferred SkillsExperience with RAG, vector databases, embeddings, search, and knowledge retrievalpatterns.Exposure to enterprise copilots, operational assistants, workflow automation, ordecision-support agents.Experience in supply chain, transportation, logistics, TMS, routing, shipment visibility, oroperational planning is a plus
