Injection Molding Operator
GENERAL SUMMARY:
*Wax or Plastic Injection experience strongly preferred. * The Wax Injector is responsible for operating wax injection presses, assembling and disassembling wax pattern dies, and performing other wax room tasks as assigned, in a timely manner ensuring each assembly is being processed to the current revision of work instruction and engineering changes.
Working Hours: 6am-2:30pm Monday-Friday
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Obtain tools and dies and return to proper location after use.
Read and follow work instructions which describe steps of a simple to complex nature.
Set up and run the wax injector die, manually and automatically, in accordance of procedures for the job.
Inject waxes and inspect for flash, distortion or air bubbles, and if necessary, repair or mark for repair.
Carefully clip off wax feeder without damaging part.
Appropriately document production sheets and note any irregularities for supervisor review.
Maintain quality and productivity levels/standards.
Perform general cleaning of work area equipment and tools.
Aid in the training of techniques and procedures to other wax injectors as needed.
Work from photos and notes when new instructions have not been created.
Take photos or coordinate to have photos taken when needed.
Follow all OSHA safety guidelines, wearing appropriate PPE. Safely operate all equipment and tools. Identify and report safety issues.

Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to learn and follow safety policies and procedures
Ability to work with hands and possess good eye-hand coordination skills
Ability to work with delicate objects
Must have patience for fine detail work
Must have good organizational skills
Ability to see fine detail (.010” size defects) using inspection lights and mirrors
Ability to lift/maneuver objects weighing up to 50 lbs with assistance if needed
Ability to work in conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals and varying temperatures
EXCELLENT ATENDANCE RECORD
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in wax or plastic injection preferred; however, on the job training is provided.
