A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRN - PCU Stepdown/n/nJob Details:/n• Work day/night rotation schedule with 36 hours per week guaranteed/n• Provide care for 48-bed step-down unit serving cardiology, EP, and cardiac surgical patients/n• Patient ratios: Days 1:3, Nights 1:4-5 depending on acuity/n• Minimum 1.5 years of recent equivalent experience required/n• Care for cardio thoracic surgical patients, CHF patients, telemetry, vascular, and pulmonary hypertension cases/n• Manage temporary pacers, chest tubes, various drips including Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone/n• Handle lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients/n• Provide care for trachs/laryngectomies and complex wounds/n• Perform central line care, maintenance, and blood draws/n• Monitor hemodynamics and invasive BP monitoring through arterial lines/n• Administer nitro, primacor, dobutamine, and dopamine drips/n• Manage Bi-PAP/C-PAP equipment and low dose pressors/n• Work with vasoactive medications, inotropes, external pacers, epicardial wires, and TR bands/n• Required certifications: NH RN License or Compact License with proof of state residency, BLS, ACLS/n/nFacility:/nThis medical center operates a comprehensive cardiac progressive care unit specializing in step-down level care for cardiology and cardiac surgical patients.
