Electrical Engineer II
Overview
In this role you will assist in planning and directing electrical engineering projects within the Design Department, focusing on medium to complex electrical systems for life sciences facilities. You will collaborate with project teams to produce design documents, perform calculations, and support cost estimates. The position emphasizes practical engineering, code compliance, and coordination with project managers to deliver integrated electrical solutions at scale.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare design computations and cost estimates for smaller, less complex projectsDevelop engineering and design documents using AutoCAD and RevitPerform calculations for lighting, power distribution, and equipment sizingCreate specialized drawings (e.g., electrical riser diagrams) and support drafter workSelect equipment and fill out schedules based on project needsResearch design options and document findings for the Project Designer/EngineerKeep Project Manager informed of workload and scope changesEnsure drawings and designs comply with company standards and codesProvide information for specifications and assist with environmental and project documentationMaintain organized work area to support team access and collaboration
