Pipe fitting Superintendent

Job Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Pipefitting Superintendent to oversee field operations for commercial and industrial piping projects. This role is responsible for managing field crews, coordinating daily job site activities, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget, maintaining safety and quality standards, and working closely with Project Managers and other trades to ensure successful project execution. This is a hands-on field leadership role for someone with strong pipefitting and mechanical construction experience. Responsibilities Supervise and lead Pipefitting Foremen and field personnel across multiple job sites Coordinate daily field operations to maintain productivity, quality, and project schedules Review blueprints, specifications, and project drawings to ensure proper execution Work closely with Project Managers to keep projects on schedule and within budget Monitor labor productivity, manpower planning, material usage, and job costs Coordinate with purchasing and vendors to ensure materials arrive on time Ensure all work complies with safety standards, construction codes, and company procedures Conduct job site inspections to maintain workmanship and quality standards Identify and resolve field issues, coordination conflicts, and site challenges Lead punch list completion, project turnover, and closeout activities Build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams Mentor and develop Foremen and field personnel Promote accountability, communication, and continuous improvement across job sites Qualifications 5+ years of commercial pipefitting or mechanical construction experience 3+ years of supervisory or superintendent-level experience Strong knowledge of piping systems, mechanical construction, and field operations Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings Experience managing multiple crews and projects simultaneously Strong understanding of construction safety standards and applicable codes Experience tracking labor productivity and project costs Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with construction software and basic computer systems Trade certification or Journeyman-level experience preferred
